Winn Raisins 375g
There appears to be a good deal of imprecision in the
raisin arena. There are three common names for raisins
in the English-speaking world — sultanas, currants,
and raisins.
Of course, sultanas and currants are raisins,
simply the variety of grape and the drying process differentiates
the three types. Typically, the Thompson Seedless variety
of grape is dried and darkened in the sunlight to produce
the common raisin.

Winn Sultanas 375g
Sultanas are in fact a dried ‘sultana’ grape.
The grape is dried and darkens in the sunlight and is treated
with sulphur dioxide to produce a lighter, moister and
plumper fruit commonly known as the sultana.
Sultanas provide
a great source of fibre and are sweeter than currants and
raisins thus they are very popular as a natural good for
you anytime snack.

Winn Currants 375g
Currants are tiny raisins from the zante grape, and are
supposed to have been first grown on the island of Corinth
in Greece.
Generally, currants are more tart in flavour
than sultanas and raisins. They are an ideal fibre source
and are most commonly used in cakes, desserts and preserves.
