Stained Glass Almond Angels

INGREDIENTS :

185g butter
1 cup caster sugar
1 1/2 teasp vanilla extract
2 cups plain flour
1/2 cup DUCKS NUTS ALMOND MEAL
1 egg
130g boiled lollies, roughly chopped

METHOD :

Place the butter, sugar and vanilla in the food
processor and process untill smooth and creamy. Add the flour, DUCKS ALMOND MEAL and egg and process to form a smooth dough. Knead the dough together and wrap in plastic wrap, allowing to rest in refrigerator for 30 minutes.

Preheat oven to 180°C.

Roll out the dough untill approx 5mm thick.
Using your chosen cutter, cut shapes and place onto a baking tray lined with baking paper.
Cut a 5mm border on the inside of the shape and remove the dough.
Fill each shape with the chopped boiled lollies.
If required to use as hanging decorations, make a hole in the top of each shape.
Bake for 10 – 12 minutes or until lightly coloured and the lollies have melted.
Cool on the trays.
