Christmas Cookies
INGREDIENTS :
1 packet DUCKS FLAKED OR SLIVERED ALMONDS
185g butter
1 1/4 cups castor sugar
1 egg
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 1/2 cups plain flour
METHOD :
Cream butter and sugar with electric mixer until pale and creamy. Add egg and vanilla and beat until well combined. Stir in flour to form a stiff dough. Wrap in plastic wrap and chill until firm. Roll out mixture to 5mm thickness on a lightly floured board and cut into desired shapes. Place onto lined baking trays and bake in pre-heated oven 180°C until lightly coloured. Approximately 8 minutes. Remove to cooling rack with spatula. Decorate with icing or white chocolate, caurchols and a selection of flaked or slivered almonds.
